Saturday Double Feature: An Intro to Psychoanalysis + Why Divest from Legacy Psychoanalytic Institutions

THIS SATURDAY, June 13th, my Introduction to Psychoanalysis course continues at RU Center for Psychoanalysis. In the previous class, we wrapped up Freud’s major works from the end of his life, including “Group Psychology and Analysis of the Ego” and “Civilisation and its Discontents.” In this next class, we’ll be focusing on the work of revolutionary psychoanalysts, Otto Gross, Wilhelm Reich, Otto Fenichel, and Erich Fromm, and also take a look at Anna Freud, Melanie Klein, and the Controversial Discussions, as well as D.W. Winnicott from the Middle or Independent Group.
